A few bad bounces for Monroe and Jackson Memorial's four unanswered goals in the 2nd and 3rd period proved to be the deciding factors in Sunday evenings matchup versus the Falcons and Jaguars.
After falling behind 1 - 0 early in the 1st period, the Falcons took a 2 - 1 lead into the 2nd period with goals from senior forward Artie Thompson and freshman forward Stan Monak.
The Jaguars four unanswered goals gave them a 5 - 2 lead before a 3rd period goal by sophomore forward Frank Stuto put the Falcons within two with about 10 minutes remaining. The Jaguars would quickly add another goal to close out the scoring.
Adding assists on the night were Stan Monak and senior forward Ryan Kloby (2). Sophomore goaltenders John Carroll and Justin Pieron combined for 26 saves in the loss.
The Falcons will look to pick up their first victory of the season on Wednesday versus Lawrence at The Lawrenceville School at 6:30 p.m.
